Foggy
Foggy Winter

Well, this is the closest we've gotten to a picture of the folks
for a while. Mike's kids made snowmen early in the week when it
was around freezing and the snow was all soft and sticky. When
they came in, they told Grampa they made 2 snowmen, one was Grampa and
the other was Grandma. Grandma was on the sled so Grampa could
pull her around with her sore foot!
As of tonight, 2-10-07, we are completely fogged in again. Been 6
days since we've seen the sun. It just varies from extremely
foggy like tonight to visibility of 10 miles before everything
disappears into the haze, and no sun at all, no mountains. Just
gray and foggy. Here are a few pictures from around the yard the
middle of the afternoon during one of the brighter periods. Weird
frost on the trees. Usually the fog leaves everything covered all
the way around with big crystals like huge snowflakes. This frost
is like giant thorns, and generally it stuck out only in one direction
with the rest of the branch bare.

The dead yucca flower stalk in the front lawn.

Branches on the blue plums out by the front gate.

The driveway north of the house. The misty appearance through the
trees is the fog.

More of the plum trees, frost sticking all on one side as giant thorns.

The chinese elms behind the old chicken house.

Not a dead cat, just Calico rolling around asking for attention in the
garden.

One of last year's kittens taking a pose.

Boards covered with lichen and a chokecherry growing around them.
